Commission notes oaths of office for two mayoral appointees

The Goshen City Community Relations Commission noted that oaths of office were completed for two mayoral appointees during the Feb. 3 meeting.
Chair reported that Lauren Layman — who introduced herself at the meeting as a mental-health counselor who moved to Goshen in the fall and works in private practice in Warsaw — and Timothy (Tim) were sworn for terms running from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2028. Commissioners welcomed Layman and welcomed Tim’s return to the commission.
Layman said she works three days a week in the office and one day by telehealth, and that she moved to Goshen after marrying in October. Commissioners expressed enthusiasm for her participation.
Next steps: new and returning commissioners will participate in upcoming event planning and committee activities.
