Parks staff asked for authorization to proceed with architectural and engineering services for the Columbia Park bandshell and recommended Zeidler Design Studio’s proposal, not to exceed $15,000 unless amended. Donna Rosar has pledged up to $50,000 toward a $100,000 fundraising goal to support restoration. Council approved budget resolution 09‑2026 to authorize the design work.
Human Resources Director Sara Dressel asked the council to approve $100,000 in general‑fund support to recruit and start a Community Development Director (pro‑rated salary and benefits for the remainder of 2026). Staff said future funding for the position would be addressed in subsequent budgets. The council approved budget resolution 10‑2026.
