Legal counsel (Mr. Moar) confirmed that a final agreement would be with the school committee and protections are in place so the committee can fully deliberate contract terms before execution.
Committee members discussed process timing (possible April 8, April 29, or later dates) and a two-reading approach so that committee members have time to review negotiated terms before a final vote. The administration said the contract would be presented for full committee consideration after negotiations are complete and recommended timelines would allow review before formal approval.
No contract was approved at the March 11 meeting; members were briefed on the anticipated steps and schedule for negotiations and review.
