Parent urges Mukilteo district to inspect playground after child sustained head injury

She asked the district to "take a look at the playground equipment" and consider low-cost safety measures to prevent similar injuries.
Courtney also said there was not a nurse on campus the day of the injury and described difficulties reaching her children while she and her husband were working that day. She said she is not seeking to assign blame but wants the district to investigate and respond.
President Kennedy thanked Courtney and said the board takes her comments seriously and will respond in writing.
