"The next time a storm hits, can we call you?" Sin said, adding the foundation is not asking for funding now but seeks contact information and commitments to amplify vetted messaging on social media and, if able, to donate when needs arise. Sin said the foundation raised $1.5 million after Hurricane Dorian, distributed funds quickly through local partners, and believes pre‑identifying supporters can accelerate relief effort responsiveness.
Sin said outreach materials and a signup are available at obcf.org/trusted and offered to provide rack cards to town hall. The board thanked Sin and the foundation for the presentation; no board action was required.
