Coopertown renovation on schedule for partial spring-turnover; library and front addition follow this summer

CB Development told the board on March 5 that work at Coopertown Elementary is progressing and that the district should receive turnover for two back additions near spring break. The contractor presented a photo-by-photo update showing windows and ceilings installed in classroom additions, rooftop HVAC units set in place, restroom tile underway, and library paint and casework nearing completion.
The contractor said the target is to turn over the back additions the week of spring break (end of March) so kindergarten and first-grade classes can relocate and the construction team can proceed with interior work in the now-vacated spaces. The front addition remains on schedule for turnover at the start of the next school year; roofing was completed recently, enabling interior work to accelerate.
CB Development reported that change orders approved at prior meetings (~$10,461) have been processed and that overall project billings are roughly 56 percent complete to date; remaining allowances and contingency were described in their update.
Board members praised the pace of work and asked about punch-list timing and turnover logistics; administration said it is coordinating relocation plans with building staff to minimize disruption.
What happens next: Contractors will continue interior finishes; administration will coordinate student relocation and announce details if any schedule revisions occur.
