The total amount presented to the board — including soft costs and architect fees — was read into the record; transcript figures reported Daniels & Daniels as the low bidder and listed architect fees to Pinnacle at $327,866. The board moved to approve Daniels & Daniels with both alternates and the motion passed.
At the same agenda, staff presented a resolution authorizing execution and delivery of an installment financing agreement, deed of trust and related documents in connection with financing a portion of costs for Rosewood Middle School and Rosewood Elementary School. Staff reminded the board the Local Government Commission (LGC) was expected to authorize borrowing up to $9 million that afternoon; county staff said the county intends to borrow only the funding gap at closing rather than the full authorization.
Chair Joe Daltry and staff emphasized that the financing authorization is procedural and that borrowing will be sized to needs at closing. "When we actually go to close, we're only going to pull what we need," a staff member told the board.
Votes and next steps: The bid approval and the financing resolution were adopted by the board in today’s meeting. Staff said they will proceed to the LGC and to closing steps as required. The board also received a project funding breakdown and noted alternates for roadway ($12,000) and fencing ($800) were included in the bid package.
