She also said renewal scenarios and final numbers would be needed for the court's next meetings because insurance renewals must be decided before the end of June.
Commissioners emphasized the importance of seeing full cost comparisons and participation surveys before any commitment. One commissioner said improved benefits could help retention, particularly in the sheriff's office, and asked staff to return with detailed renewal scenarios and participation counts at the next meeting cycle.
