Mission Brookline returns marijuana retail license; town to accept equity‑applicants in October

Per the Select Board’s equity policy and state Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) rules, the initial application window will be restricted to CCC‑certified economic‑empowerment or social‑equity applicants; as permitted by law, the town will give additional preference to applicants who have been Brookline residents for the five years preceding application and who remain residents when approved.
What happens next: The Select Board’s office and licensing staff will publish application materials and a timeline before mid‑October.
