Council members singled out Harwick’s regional work and community outreach, noting his role in training and public events. Councilmember Warren thanked Harwick for his dedication and wished him well; Councilmember Stone noted Harwick’s continuing contribution as he transitions to training new police dogs elsewhere. City Manager Justin Clifton said he hoped the city would continue to benefit from Harwick’s “institutional knowledge.”
The ceremony concluded with applause and photographs. No formal city action was required; the presentation was ceremonial and intended to acknowledge Harwick’s career and community contributions.
