The Grand Rapids City Commission completed routine business at its last meeting of the year, voting to approve meeting minutes and passing the consent agenda without items pulled for separate discussion.
A motion to approve the minutes from Dec. 2 carried after a voice vote; the clerk then read communications and staff reports. The controller’s warrant report for Nov. 18–Dec. 1, 2025 (for $4,700,2878.67 as read aloud) and the monthly travel and treasurer reports were received and filed. The commission also received communications including a resignation from the Westside Corridor Improvement Authority and notices regarding oversight activity related to detention and ICE collaboration.
No ordinances were adopted at the meeting and commissioners noted the calendar for the coming month. The commission adjourned after closing remarks and holiday greetings.
