"This $350,000 represents our negotiation with them to contribute to improvements to that area," said city staff (Stan), explaining the design will prioritize measures that keep construction dollars focused on actual roadway capacity improvements rather than high design costs. Staff said the intention is not to use city general‑fund dollars for the work; the contribution will be budgeted for design and construction as agreed with the developer.
Council members discussed the amount and confirmed the package on the record; the motion passed 7–0.
