The mayor invited community members to visit the Madison Handover Connector Trail and highlighted connectivity to Clifty Falls State Park.
Kaine gave brief departing remarks, thanking board members and staff for their support and saying he was proud to have been part of the work. "I'm just glad I could be a part of it," Kaine said.
The board took a photo and presented a small reception; a short celebration and informal remarks followed before the agenda moved on to routine business.
