Lisa Ridge of the Monroe County Highway Department summarized the request: "This is just a general purchase of buses. They will be diesel and they will be articulated buses to use for the university." Ridge said the funding comes from MO federal funds flexed to transit in previous fiscal years and that Federal Transit Administration wants recipients to use those funds before the transportation bill expires in September.
Committee members had no public comment and approved the amendment by voice vote.
What's next: MPO staff will incorporate the amendment into the TIP and transmit required notifications to state and federal partners.
