Redevelopment commission approves $45,751.50 lease termination payment to Monroe County CASA

The Monroe County Redevelopment Commission on March 2 approved an agreement terminating the lease with Monroe County CASA at the West property in exchange for a one-time payment of $45,751.50 plus two annual parking passes.
A staff presenter outlined the agreement and the calculation of the parking-pass value. The staff representative said the two annual parking passes amount to $119 per month each, equaling $1,428 for the year, and that the total RDC cost being requested was $45,751.50. The presenter said CASA has plans to move to a new location and that the tenant would have until March 31 to vacate; staff noted CASA may finish earlier than that date.
Commissioners had no additional questions. After opening for public comment (none), the commission moved, seconded and voted by roll call to approve the lease termination payment; the roll call recorded unanimous approval.
