Wagner said the draft plan is posted on board effect for review and asked governors to submit comments by the board’s stated deadline so cabinet members can develop implementation tactics and measurable dashboards. Board members emphasized the need to convert strategy into measurable actions and to use the board’s regional connections to support legislative and philanthropic advocacy tied to the plan.
Cabinet members who spoke during the session tied the plan to operational initiatives: academic affairs noted new articulation agreements and faculty engagement; workforce development described employer‑aligned training cohorts; and enrollment management highlighted early results from an intensified recruitment program. President Dr. Kennedy framed the work as part of a broader effort to stabilize enrollment and improve institutional performance.
The board did not take a formal vote on the draft plan; members were asked to return comments and to expect a request for adoption or sign‑off at a future meeting.
