Residents ask about mosquito spraying, code enforcement and where to view meetings

On access to meetings, Martin said Board of Mayor and Aldermen meetings are live streamed on Facebook and YouTube and encouraged residents to use the citizen newsletter and public comment channels for transparency and input.
On code enforcement, Martin said the city currently has four code inspectors and advised residents to use the 'Report a Concern' button at springfieldtn.gov (submissions can be anonymous) to flag overgrown yards, zoning violations or other property maintenance issues for investigation.
The Q&A also included questions about the mayor’s background; Mayor Anne Schneider Williams spoke about her path into local office and thanked community members for volunteer work and storm response efforts.
Next steps: city staff said they will continue to field resident requests, provide online access to meetings, and review citizen interest in additional services such as mosquito control.
