Cobb County lists March voting info, library services and volunteer events

She also said Cobb County Elections and Registration is seeking primary and backup polling locations across the county and invited community groups, schools and faith-based organizations to suggest sites through the county website.
On the county’s 2028 SPLOS renewal — a 1% sales tax that funds transportation, courthouses, community centers, parks, libraries and other local projects — Widner listed two remaining engagement meetings. Residents may drop in from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 5 at the Cobb Civic Center in Marietta or on March 10 at the Ben Robertson Community Center in Kennesaw, and an online survey is available on the 2028 SPLOS page for those who cannot attend.
Widner also announced free tax-assistance at six Cobb County libraries, with appointments available through April 15 to meet volunteers who can help file federal 1040s; libraries will provide free federal 1040 forms and printing of tax documents while supplies last. She promoted the Cobb County Public Library book sale scheduled March 13–15 at the Cobb Civic Center, with items priced from $0.10 to $4 and proceeds supporting all 15 library branches and the county bookmobile.
Finally, Widner asked for volunteers for the Keep Cobb Beautiful Earth Day cleanup on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., noting simultaneous cleanups will occur in every commission district, supplies will be provided and lunch will be available for registered volunteers.
