The Historic Preservation Commission voted unanimously March 2 to approve replacement front and rear doors at the Terara Rosa art studio, 111 East Oklahoma Avenue.
Staff told the commission the request (HPC application 26-00004) would restore exterior access to the second floor and that the applicant submitted door designs and color samples intended to match the studio’s existing signage. "The owner has been doing renovations inside," the staff member said, and returned the matter to the commission for questions.
The applicant, addressed in the meeting as Mr. Beonus, was present and commissioners described the proposed doors as consistent with nearby storefronts. Commissioner Lisa Kennedy moved to approve the door replacements; Commissioner Nathan Turner seconded. Lisa Kennedy, Nathan Turner, Carol McPeek and Valerie Duncan each voted yes, and the motion passed 4–0.
There was no public comment on the item. The approval covers the replacement doors and the colors as presented in the packet. The commission moved on to the next agenda item.
