DuPage County’s Transportation Committee voted to approve a broad consent agenda that included procurement contracts for materials and paving services, multiple vehicle purchases for the Division of Transportation, a contract extension for a fleet services provider and an intergovernmental agreement with the Regional Transportation Authority to study demand-responsive county transportation services.
The committee moved to approve the consent items by voice; members present responded in the affirmative and the chair declared the motions approved. A committee member observed, “Good thing we had a new transportation garage for all these trucks and stuff,” reflecting the meeting’s focus on upcoming equipment deliveries.
The approved procurements included vendor-specific contract recommendations (periods generally running from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, unless noted): bulk and construction materials (DTP1326) for aggregates (contract total not to exceed $70,000); Portland cement concrete (DTP1426) for DuPage County (not to exceed $75,000); UPM cold patch (DTP1526) (not to exceed $65,000); paving materials in the west region (DTP1626) (not to exceed $100,000); batuminous paving in the central region (DTP1726) (not to exceed $120,000); and batuminous paving in the southeast region (DTP1826) (not to exceed $144,000). The committee also approved multiple vehicle purchase orders to Sutton Ford for F550/F350/F450 trucks covering different configurations (contract totals were transcribed for some items and are noted below; in several cases the transcript contained numeric ambiguities and those specific amounts are marked as not specified).
The committee approved a change order extending the Ron Turley Associates (doing business as RTA Fleet Success) contract through July 31, 2026. The committee also approved DTR226, an intergovernmental agreement with the Regional Transportation Authority to conduct the DuPage County Demand Responsive Services Study.
Under informational items, the committee received and placed on file several facilities-management contracts: maintenance and repair services for automatic and manual doors (FMP626) (transcribed contract total not to exceed $133,966 with a first renewal option described); a contract for safety shoes and work gear for county divisions (FMP826) (transcribed maximum $46,000 with departmental splits); and a contract recommendation for boiler audit and services in the county power plant (FMP1026) (the transcript’s numeric transcription for the total contained ambiguities; departmental allocations were listed).
The meeting concluded with no additional old or new business and the committee adjourned.
Votes and procedural notes: All motions described above were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; no roll-call vote tallies were recorded in the transcript.
