Standout Adaptive Adult Organization seeks support for March 26 bowling fundraiser

Two leaders of Standout Adaptive Adult Organization visited the council March 2 to announce their first fundraiser since becoming an independent nonprofit.
"My name is Kayla and this is Rachel. We are co-presidents of Standout Adaptive Adult Organization," Kayla told the council, explaining the nonprofit offers social opportunities for adults with disabilities and has partnered with St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation. The group plans a March 26 bowling fundraiser at Shore Lanes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is soliciting gift-card donations, raffle items and sponsorships to fund summer program costs such as transportation and field trips.
Council members expressed support and asked for an event graphic or email to help promote the fundraiser on social media. "You two do a fantastic job ... it's a great reflection for the city of St. Clair Shores," Mr. Rebello said.
The council did not take formal action; staff and several members offered to share event details on city social channels and support local sponsorship outreach.
