District says referendum projects are underway; solar-array size may be adjusted if federal funding changes

Administrators told electors that capital projects approved by the April 2024 referendum are in progress and roughly 25–30% complete as of the end of the 2024–25 fiscal year. John (assistant superintendent/CFO) said debt-service work from the referendum has begun and construction milestones are ongoing.
On a referendum-funded solar array, John said the original package included an array budgeted in the neighborhood of $600,000 with anticipated partial funding from federal programs (Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act). He said the district will issue an RFP in coming weeks and that, if federal funding windows narrow, the district could reduce the array size while still expecting a meaningful energy benefit. “If those funds have reduced, it's our understanding that as of this point those funds are still available within a certain window of time. If the funding is not available, we can still receive a significant impact by reducing the size of that array,” he said.
District officials also highlighted near-term facilities work: HVAC replacements, roofing and a slate of modernization projects in career-and-technical-education and arts spaces with targeted completions across 2025–26 (fitness spaces and some CTE/art spaces were described as opening in the upcoming weeks or next winter).
