Supervisors thanked the weights-and-measures staff for their often-unseen work in consumer protection and the board approved a proclamation recognizing Weights and Measures Week in Tulare County.
The discussion covered inspection frequency (annual checks for many retail devices), tagging and out-of-service procedures (30-day correction window), and the low overall estimated failure rate for type-approved devices. The board and county staff also recognized individual weights-and-measures inspectors during the meeting.
