Resident announces fundraiser for Officer Dominguez and family

During the public-comment portion of the Feb. 23 Brookings City Council meeting, Natasha Tippets (520 Hasset Street) announced a community fundraiser to benefit Officer Gabby Dominguez and her spouse, Sarah, who were both injured in a recent accident.
Tippets said community organizers, including Abby Farmer, will host an Alfredo dinner and raffle at Salmon Run Golf Course on Friday, April 3, from 5:30–7:30 p.m., with proceeds to assist Dominguez and her family with recovery-related costs and time away from work. "All proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to Officer Dominguez and her family to help with expenses related to her recovery and her time away from work," Tippets said.
Council members expressed sympathy and gratitude for the community organizing the event and noted positive recovery milestones reported by city staff. The mayor and council thanked organizers and encouraged community support.
Organizers asked people who wish to donate raffle items or make financial contributions to contact Abby Farmer; further event details will be shared in a public poster and social notices.
