One councilor noted the bill appears to have bipartisan sponsorship and urged timely action to allow Brookings to provide testimony by the filing deadline.
Council moved, seconded and voted unanimously to sign the letter of support and submit it as testimony on behalf of the city.
Next step: City manager will finalize the letter for the mayor's signature and submit it before the stated deadline.
