Indian Prairie 204 board approves SRO agreements with Naperville, Aurora and behavior intervention procedures

The Indian Prairie School District 204 Board of Education on March 9 voted unanimously to approve intergovernmental agreements with the cities of Naperville and Aurora to provide school resource officers and to adopt updated behavior intervention procedures.
Board President Laurie Donahue called for a motion to approve the school resource officer agreements. Catey Genc moved to approve the intergovernmental agreements, and Susan Demming seconded. District clerk Mina Low then conducted a roll-call vote; board members Catey Genc, Susan Demming, Mark Rising, Justin Karubas, Natasha Grover, Laurie Donahue and Allison Fosdick voted in the affirmative and the motion passed.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved consent agenda items D–H on a motion from Mark Rising, seconded by Catey Genc, also by unanimous roll call. Later, the board voted to adopt the district's behavior intervention procedures after a motion from Catey Genc and a second; the roll call vote was unanimous.
The approvals were procedural and came after routine presentation items and recognitions. No public comments were recorded on these motions at the meeting. The superintendent's office and district administration will implement the behavior intervention procedures and the intergovernmental agreements with the partner cities as presented.
