After a motion, the board approved the proposed exterior masonry work as presented. Following a separate motion, the board also approved a door-replacement project.
In new business, business-office staff presented a negotiated vendor quote with Educational Environments (Frank Cooney) for assembly, disassembly and on-site storage of media-center furniture during planned media-center renovations. The contract price presented was $25,640, with work scheduled to begin as schools dismiss for the summer.
Mr. Goldstein also briefed the board on a proposed two-year extension of auditing services with Baker Tilly US LLP, noting fee adjustments in the range of 4—% and explaining the recommendation in the context of limited local audit providers and an administrative transition in the district. The board did not take final action on the audit extension during the April 22 meeting; those procurement items are slated for upcoming board consideration.
