The Seminole City Council approved payment of invoice #20 to Crossland Heavy Contractors for $831,179.53 for construction work on the city’s new wastewater treatment plant, and separately approved invoice #29 to Wall Engineering for $23,438.50 to cover engineering and inspection services.
A staff member told the council the plant is "in the neighborhood of 70%" complete and remains on target for substantial completion in late August, with ribbon-cutting events anticipated between August and September. Council approved both payments by roll call.
The two approvals were part of the municipal authority’s current business section. The Crossland payment was described as covering construction work billed under invoice #20; Wall Engineering’s invoice was identified as compensation for engineering and inspection of the same project.
What happens next: staff will continue construction oversight and schedule ribbon-cutting activities as milestones are met. The council did not attach special conditions to either invoice during the vote.
