The committee also approved a multi-year purchasing exemption for LeadsOnline LLC, described by staff as a nationwide investigative database to search pawn, secondhand, scrap-metal and online marketplace transaction data to help identify stolen items and link organized retail crime. The five-year subscription was presented at an amount not to exceed $239,484.96; staff confirmed the county has used similar tools previously and recommended approval. The motion to approve the subscription passed.
Next steps: staff will implement the grant amendment and complete procurement for the LeadsOnline subscription per county purchasing rules.
