At Northside High School, Cables said the district has contracted Techline to install new stadium lights and has requested a new 480‑volt service; the new system will be built alongside the existing poles to avoid interruptions to events. Hidden Valley High School’s artificial turf project has completed survey work and design documents are with the engineer; once approved by the county (Ronaldo/Reno County as referenced in the presentation), construction may begin with a goal to finish before spring sports.
Snack bar renovations at Cavespring High School were described as moving to pre‑construction and requiring an electrical service upgrade; restroom renovations at North Side High are nearing completion. Cables said many projects are scheduled to minimize student disruption and that phase scheduling and contracting decisions were made to facilitate work during school breaks.
Board members did not take final votes on these items during the work session; the updates will inform scheduling and consent agenda items at future meetings.
