LCUAS hears updates on Conco House repairs, mobile-office site and shed-move cost spike

On placement of a mobile office unit, Jose reported that a master plumber who visited the site relayed city feedback that a septic tank would not be approved at that location. "The city did not approve a septic tank there," he said. Jose said the alternate option — drilling — had been costed at "anywhere from, you know, $8,000 and up" by a contact named Mr. Unhill and that staff will request at least three contractor quotes before advancing the work.
Separately, staff reported a significant increase in the contractor quote to relocate a shed at Conco House. The speaker said a December estimate had been $950, but when recontacted the company now asked for $2,850. "They told us it was $950 before and now they're asking for $2,850," Jose said. Board members suggested checking with local rental firms and contractors, soliciting sponsorships and confirming whether equipment could be rented with an operator.
The transcript records discussion of alternatives and logistics (the shed must be emptied before moving), but no formal payment authorization for the higher amount was recorded at the meeting.
The board also heard program reports and scheduled follow-ups: staff will return with competitive contractor bids for plumbing/drilling and additional information about shed-moving options and costs.
