The Rockland School Committee completed its required post‑election reorganization on April 13, nominating and approving leadership posts and taking several routine approvals.
Nominations and results: a committee member nominated Jill Maron for chair; the nomination was seconded and Maron accepted. Jamie Hennessy was nominated and approved as vice chair, and Emily Davidson accepted and was approved as secretary.
Minutes and reports: the committee moved to accept the March 23 minutes; two members abstained because they were not present at that prior meeting. Members then approved six monthly administrative reports by voice vote.
Fundraisers: the committee read and approved seven new fundraisers across district programs (daycare dining events, label sales, bake sale, water bottle/flower sales, coffee house performance, candy bar sale for DECA conference fees, and a flower fundraiser connected to senior activities and teacher appreciation).
Surplus vehicle: members voted to surplus an unusable district mobile van, authorize detailing of the vehicle and send it to auction; the district said the replacement vehicle delivery is expected in about four months.
Procedural notes: the chair recited subcommittee assignments for bargaining groups, wellness, athletics liaison and other duties, and noted the committee will follow Robert’s Rules of Order.
All motions described above passed by voice vote during the meeting; no roll‑call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
