District Medicaid billing rises to about $491,000, staff credit related‑services work

The presenter emphasized that Medicaid billing is revenue to the town and not a cost to the district.
Superintendent remarks at the meeting tied the billing to student needs: he said school nurses logged 3,383 student visits in March alone, and those encounters can contribute to Medicaid‑eligible billing when services meet program criteria.
Committee members thanked staff for the work involved in identifying eligible services and ensuring the district captures eligible reimbursements. No policy change or new funding request was made during the meeting.
