The Redondo Beach Unified School District Board on June 11 adopted a revised Child Development Center (CDC) fee schedule that sets a before-school-only care tuition at $175 per month and increases the extra full-day summer daily rate to $60.
District staff explained that parents may choose a 10-month or 12-month payment option; the monthly charge applies even if a program month is partial (for example, paying the monthly rate for August). Year-round and summer-only rates differ, and staff said campuses combine for summer programming depending on space and staffing. The board's motion to adopt the fee schedule passed unanimously.
Administration noted continued online resources for families (CDC program pages on the district website) and clarified that current rates for the 2024'25 school year are not being increased beyond the summer daily-rate adjustment; the $60 daily rate applies to the summer program beginning the week school starts in the following year.
