Mr. King introduced proposed bylaw changes for the Senior Citizens Center Board of Commissioners, describing adjustments to how a quorum is defined for regular and special meetings and proposed term limits for board members.
"The proposed changes really is just basically what's needed to to make a quorum for a special meeting and a regular meeting along with setting the term limits," Mr. King said, and he told the council that staff and the city attorney will make small numeric adjustments before bringing the finalized language to the council meeting next week.
No formal vote or action was taken at the work session; staff said the numbers presented would be slightly different in the final packet and requested authorization to bring the item back for formal council consideration.
Next steps: Staff will finalize the bylaw language in consultation with the city attorney and submit the item for formal action at the next regular council meeting.
