At the June 11 meeting, the Redwood City School District Governing Board approved tentative agreements with three employee groups and authorized year‑end budget transfers.
Board members and staff described multiple bargaining sessions with representatives from RCAA (administrators), RCTA (teachers) and CSEA (classified staff). Wendy and Rick summarized the negotiation process and said the tentative agreements address compensation and a small set of open articles; each labor group ratified or agreed to the tentative terms before the board vote.
Trustees moved to approve the RCAA proposal, the RCTA tentative agreement and the CSEA tentative agreement in separate motions. All three motions passed by voice vote. The transcript does not record roll‑call tallies for each vote.
The board also approved routine year‑end budget transfers that allow staff to move balances to pay obligations and close the fiscal year. District staff explained the authorization is a standard annual item to ensure obligations are met and said transfers should be limited as needed.
Trustees thanked negotiators and district staff for the bargaining work and noted the efforts required to reach tentative agreements.
