In the summary read to the public, the council noted accomplishments including maintaining a low metro tax rate, strong quality-of-life survey results and city departments securing more than $7 million in grants during 2025. The council determined the salary adjustment results in an approximate base salary of $253,864.
Mayor and council members each offered brief remarks commending Ketcham’s leadership and workplace culture; Ketcham responded by thanking staff and saying he ‘‘tries not to get in the way and allow the great people that work for the city to do the great job for the residents.’’ The council moved and approved the compensation package by voice vote.
Next steps: Human Resources and Finance will implement the salary and benefits changes in payroll.
