After trustee discussion, Dawn moved and Kathy seconded a motion to provide $400 per student (four students; total request $1,600). The motion passed unanimously, 5–0.
Board members suggested the district consider a standing travel support budget or a distributed fund for student groups that qualify for national competitions to avoid ad‑hoc decisions in future years.
