Little Falls board accepts community donations and hears Ice Fest update

The resolution listed gifts including a $15,000 donation from Pay It Forward Foundation (Ice Fest) to the Flyer Pride Backpack Program, $12,000 from the same foundation to the Care Closet, $3,000 from the Jean Hass Foundation for the robotics program, and numerous smaller monetary and in-kind donations to scholarship and program funds. The board voted by roll call to accept the gifts.
Chuck, representing Ice Fest, told the board the event has raised funds over nine years and estimated total donations at about $203,000 over the event's history. He urged volunteers to sign up at mnicefest.org and described plans for a 10th anniversary event and ongoing fundraising for district programs. "We were able to raise ... $203,000," he said, noting 100% of raffle proceeds and free-will donations are returned to the named programs.
Why it matters
