Members also raised a staffing question about a forthcoming hire; staff said current staffing supporting the VAC will remain unchanged and any newly hired staff will be expected to follow the adopted public-art strategy and Council direction. Rather than take a vote on the draft at this meeting, the committee agreed to circulate the draft for feedback, reconvene the subcommittee for targeted review, and bring a revised draft back to the Visual Arts Committee for a future vote and then recommendation to City Council.
