City staff and aldermen discussed timing and accounting: staff said grant awards are reimbursed monthly and that reimbursements usually arrive within about 60 days of submitting invoices; when received the revenues will be credited to the PIP fund rather than the general fund. Alderman Robertson confirmed that, if the project expenditures occur in 2027, the city should receive the corresponding grant funds in that budget year.
Separately, the board approved Resolution 2026‑07 authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement for an inline-hockey supply vending machine at Volunteer Park (Arrowhead). The measure passed unanimously.
What happens next: Parks staff will submit the LPRF application, prepare a monthly reimbursement plan, and proceed with the vending agreement installation once executed.
