The Town of Sellersburg approved a two-year contract to continue Verizon wireless services under the State of Indiana contract on April 13. Town staff said the new state contract runs April 8, 2026, through 2028 and is intended to lock in state-bid pricing for participating local governments.
Council discussed whether the town should seek alternative bids; staff and council members clarified that the state negotiated the contract and the town is adopting the state term and pricing for convenience and price stability. The motion to approve the contract passed by voice vote.
Town staff indicated the town manager (Charlie) has authority to sign the document, subject to council approval where required. No further substantive changes to service terms were discussed at the meeting.
