District negotiators told the board they had reached a tentative collective bargaining agreement with the Los Gatos‑Saratoga District Teachers Association for the 2026–27 school year and asked the board to adopt the tentative agreement.
"We have reached a tentative agreement between the district and DTA for the 26‑27 collective bargaining agreement," the presenter said, noting this is an unusually early settlement and thanking DTA for collaboration. The proposed tentative agreement includes revisions to Article 5 (salary and benefits), Article 13 (personal leaves), Article 15 (class sizes), Appendix A (salary schedules) and Appendix C (extra duty stipends).
Staff also presented the AD‑1200 multi‑year fiscal projection required by the county for contract disclosures and provided the County Office of Education's supporting letter. Board members moved and seconded approval and adopted the tentative agreement by roll call.
The board's adoption of a tentative agreement is a procedural step that allows the parties to proceed with required public disclosures and finalize contract ratification steps; it does not yet impose a fully executed multi‑year contract until ratification procedures are complete.
Outcome: Board approved the tentative agreement and received the AD‑1200 disclosure; the district will complete required filings with the County Office of Education.
