Price City Library reports rising Libby usage; board highlights outreach and membership

Jason Olson, chair of the Price City Library Board, presented the library’s quarterly update to the council on May 13, reporting growing digital usage and program outreach.
Olson said Libby (OverDrive) checkouts have reached 13,644 since July, including 1,398 in April, and that the library has recorded 125,610 checkouts since implementing Libby in 2018. He told the council the library counts about 2,000 active members who may access ebooks, audiobooks and magazines through the Libby app using a valid Price City library card.
Board members described local improvements to facilities and programming aimed at increasing access for children and families. Councilmembers suggested producing a flyer or social-media posts to promote library resources and Libby; the board welcomed assistance with outreach.
Chair Olson said this was his last quarterly update before moving out of town and thanked the council and community for their support.
