Frontier Junior Women's Club presents grants and checks to Brown Deer organizations

Janice Bot, co‑president of the Frontier Junior Women's Club, presented the club’s annual community contributions to the Village of Brown Deer at the May 4 meeting.
The club announced a $1,500 contribution to the park and recreation department to support Fourth of July fireworks; a $90 donation for flags; a $250 donation to the food pantry to purchase a chest freezer; $1,130 for police supplies (including steel personal protection sprays and chest seals); $2,395 to the fire department for a life‑form/simulation trainer; and $1,085 to the Brown Deer Library for shelving and storage bins. The club also reported receiving a $5,000 grant from the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) International Library Replenishment Fund to assist library recovery from last August’s flood; that check was presented to library staff on April 14.
"We thank the community for their support," Bot said, noting student awards, scholarships and ongoing projects (including a small lending library being built for a park) and that the club will present its school contributions separately to the school board.
The board accepted the presentation and trustees and club members took a group photo after the presentation.
