The Redwood City Elementary School District Governing Board approved the district’s estimated Prop 28 expenditure plan for the 2025–26 school year during its June 18 meeting.
Board members moved and seconded the measure as part of the action items. Staff explained that the plan uses an estimated allocation; the state’s final Prop 28 numbers will not be available until July. The district will update site allocations in the fall when actual state amounts are posted.
Staff said the annual approval is required to plan for salaries and staffing that Prop 28 supports; the item will be updated at a later date with final allocations.
Vote and next step: Board voiced approval during the meeting; staff will return with the final allocation in July and update expenditure distributions as required.
