The Knox County Beer Board on March 23 voted to accept an application for a beer permit for A Bridge Burger Company at 4528 Market, allowing on- and off-premises sales, contingent on a pending certificate of occupancy.
Commissioner Hill moved to accept the application and Commissioner Jay seconded. The clerk called the roll and the motion passed with affirmative responses from the commissioners present.
Applicant Jesse Bowers (37922) confirmed he is a Tennessee resident, that the application information is accurate, and that he and his managers have completed required server training. County staff advised the board that codes and the sheriff's office had no objections, the fire marshal listed a pending certificate of occupancy, and the applicant also needed a state certificate of registration before opening.
Commissioners welcomed the business to the district; one commissioner noted enjoying A Bridge Burger previously. The board recorded approval of the application with the Clerk and staff to follow up on outstanding administrative requirements before final operations could begin.
