Council votes to enter executive session to discuss personnel matters

Councilmember Kuritan moved the motion, citing the statute; Councilmember Gaston seconded. The motion invited the city administrator and, by request, the mayor to the session. A roll-call vote recorded six "yes" votes (Miss Sorb, Miss Gaston, Miss Alexander, Miss Keratin, Mr. Davis and Miss Chai Chester) and the motion passed.
The council then moved to take up committee reports and other agenda items; the executive session was scheduled per the procedural motion. By statute, the session’s details remain confidential unless the council decides to disclose them later.
