The system also contains keyholder lists, at‑risk resident information and internal dashboards for incidents, use‑of‑force and training records.
Staffing and operations: The chief said overall crime numbers are favorable, noted an outstanding reporting connection to the state that should be restored within a month, and announced two officers in training (Joe Tidel and Jake Peters) and the hiring of Rob Russell. School resource officers will return to streets as the school year ends and the chief said the new systems will help manage training compliance and operational data.
Training and exercises: The chief recommended an active‑shooter/incident‑management course run by the Illinois Fire Service Institute and suggested village leaders pursue incident‑management training and a tabletop exercise to coordinate multi‑agency response.
Board members asked the chief to follow up on clustered crash data near the high school intersection and to circulate training course details to trustees.
