Hunt County court approves routine financial items, lifts burn ban and authorizes settlement

The Hunt County Commissioners Court approved a slate of routine financial and land-use items and took two post-executive-session actions at its March 10 meeting.
On the consent calendar the court approved the Feb. 24 meeting minutes and accepted accounts payable, line-item transfers, budget amendments and payroll and personnel actions by unanimous voice votes. The court also approved the January'February month-end activity report for Constable Precinct One (363 papers received, 606 service attempts, 273 served, 16 returned unserved).
The court granted three routine requests to install or replace electrical distribution facilities in county right-of-way on County Roads 4109, 4112 and 4617 under normal stipulations. It accepted public improvements for Whispering Winds after confirming inspections and bond release and approved several final plats and a corrected final plat after staff verified they met county requirements.
After an executive session the court returned to open session and voted to lift the county burn ban effective immediately. The court also authorized payment of $7,639.97 to Encore to settle property damage (a hit power pole on private roads in the Quinland area), directing the payment from precinct 2 funds with follow-up bookkeeping by the auditor's office.
